Overview

Itinerary
At the indicated time, our Andean View Travel guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and you will be picked up from your hotel to go to the most important sites of Cusco and its surroundings. First visit the beautiful and historic CATHEDRAL OF CUSCO that houses beautiful paintings and art from the colonial era, then touring the most traditional streets of Cusco, then will arrive at the Temple of the Inca Sun the KORICANCHA located in the center of the city, the famous Qoricancha temple that translated into Spanish means Golden Enclosure, Inca Garcilaso de la Vega in his work the royal comments indicates that this place had all the walls covered with gold sheets and that in its interior hundreds of objects made of gold and silver were found that served as offerings for their deities and that were also used to be able to take them out in procession in the main festivals such as the Inti Raymi
After visiting there 2 stunning places we will board our transport and drive up just outside of the city 15 minutes and We will visit Sacsayhuaman, which translated into Spanish means scalloped or marbled head, with its enigmatic monoliths weighing as much as 200 tons, Is was in this place the last battle of Inca resistance against the Spanish invasion took place, that is why many confuse it as a Fortress but according to the chronicles it is said that this was a temple of worship to the Illapa or Rayo, also with a center of worship to the Sun and other deities, currently the Inti Raymi festival is held here.
Then we will continue our visit to Qenqo, home to fascinating Inca altars, a place dedicated to the worship of the Pachamama used as a hospital where mummifications and cranial deformations were carried out.
And then drive another 5 minutes to Puka Pukara, which was a tambo or resting place since through here passes one of the Inca roads to Chinchaysuyo. Finally we will have our last stop at Tambomachay that was dedicated to the cult of water and spiritual purification with water fountains, thought to be used as baths by the Incas.
