This valley was highly appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities. The Sacred Valley was one of the main points of production due to the richness of its lands and the place where the best grain of corn is produced in Peru. Lasting a full day you will get to appreciate Agricultural terraces, called Andenes, were built up hillsides flanking the valley floor and are today the most visible and widespread signs of the Inca civilization in the Sacred Valley, the fine works of craftmanship and see the beautiful scenery of the Sacred Valley.

Itinerary

Day 1
Full Day Tour of Sacred Valley from Cusco

In the morning after breakfast at your hotel, our Andean View Travel guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby in our private transport and start our tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The first stop point will be the Taray viewpoint to take the postcard photo of the Sacred Valley then a short stop in Awanacancha or Manos de la Comunidad centers of exhibition of native animals, being the South American camelids the protagonists, then will visit Pisac picturesque colonial mestizo town where we will visit a traditional market to interact with the local people and purchase some local souvenirs. Also we will drive up to the Pisac Inca site to have stunning views over the valley and you can appreciate temples, residences, altars, channels and learn about the Incan agricultural methods shared by our Andean View Travel guides.
After this beautiful visit we will continue and stop in Urubamba to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (not included).
Then we continue our journey to Ollantaytambo to the guided tour of the town and the amazing archaeological site, a gigantic administrative-social, religious and military agricultural complex in the time of Tahuantinsuyo also we will find an amazing rock formation representing the Inca god Wiracocha.
Returning to Cusco we will enjoy our final stop at the colorful village of Chinchero, an ancient Inca agricultural center with a beautiful Andean landscape, its colonial church stands out. Then we will visit a local family where they will demonstrate the weaving process that is made in the old way using totally natural elements for washing, dyeing, washing and weaving the garmentswe.
After this short stop, we will drive you back to your Cusco hotel arriving around 18:00pm.
